Red Berry Editions was founded in 2008 by Marie C. Dern and
Jane M. Downs .
Jane Downs retired from the University of California Press in 2008. She is co-editor of Cloud View Poets, An Anthology, published in 2005. Her poems have received first place in contests sponsored by Artists Embassy and Tide Pool. Her work appears in literary journals including the Ninth Letter, Ashville Poetry Review, North American Review and Field Magazine; and her novel, The Sleeping Wall, will be published by Chiasma Press in late 2009 .

Marie Dern began Jungle Garden Press in 1974. She has published hand-made books since then. The books are in small editions, are letterpress printed and bound by hand. Her books are included in many public and private collections.
